I personally started with HTML and CSS in 7th grade. I thoroughly enjoyed it, I'm obviously not a master, but understanding the basics of HTML was easy. I later learned Python on my own, Visual Basic in high school, and currently learning C. I'm not smart enough to code for a job, but it's fun as a hobby.
I highly recommend "Learn Code The Hard Way" for some popular scripting languages. It's where I was mostly taught Python and currently C.
